Lance Ford, Ph.D., (2019-2022)

Assistant Professor, Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, OU Hudson College of Public Health

Dr. Lance Ford is an Assistant Professor of Research in Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Hudson College of Public Health, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) in Oklahoma City, OK. Dr. Ford completed his doctorate at OUHSC by developing novel high-dimensional statistical methodology for use in extreme phenotype sampling. Currently, Dr. Ford continues his work in the development of high-dimensional regression methods under extreme phenotype sampling. He is applying these methods to mRNA expression data to better understand the connection between genetic factors and neurological health outcomes among patients with carotid stenosis. During his time as a Hudson Fellow, he worked on a range of research projects including topics such as cancer-associated venous thromboembolism, stepped wedge design trials sample size and missing data, the effects of travel burden on cancer survival outcomes, and factors associated with low-dose computed tomography lung cancer screening.
