Yashaswi is a first year MPH Interdisciplinary program student and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Center for American Indian Health Research, Strong Heart Study. She is an International Medical Graduate from India, where she completed her M.B.B.S degree from Government Medical College, Surat in 2022. She served as an intern physician in New Civil Hospital for a year during the pandemic and worked as a research assistant on projects related to COVID-19. Working during the pandemic helped her understand the importance of public health and she developed and intertest in pursuing her MPH. She is passionate about leadership, interdisciplinary and interprofessional education and strongly believes in the collaborative approach and teamwork to provide effective patient and community care. She is a trained Bharatanatyam Dancer and yoga enthusiast. She enjoys traveling and exploring different cuisines.
