Dr. John has dedicated his career to investigating a range of health issues among socially disadvantaged groups and providing evidence-based practice solutions to documented health disparities. As a practitioner of social marketing, he has been successful in identifying compelling behavioral motivations that have resulted in changing health behaviors among priority populations. Several of these efforts have been recognized including Social Marketing Association of North America Outstanding Agency Award for Commitment to Elimination of Social Disparities, Oklahoma Nutrition Information and Education Project, 2018, and National Social Marketing Centre (Great Britain) Award for Excellence in Social Marketing, for Oklahoma Nutrition Information and Education Project 1% Low-Fat Milk Intervention, 2016.
