Two Health Administration and Policy students traveled with Dr. Nasim Ferdows, assistant professor in the Department of Health Administration and Policy, to Washington, DC, to present their posters at the 2022 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting. McKenzie Cowlbeck presented her research poster titled “State-level Changes in Nurse Practitioner Scope of Practice during Covid-19 pandemic” and Matt Reeves presented his research poster titled “Racial Disparities Within Rural and Urban Areas: Assessment of American Indian, White, and Black Age-adjusted Mortality Rates from 1999 to 2016”.

The AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting (ARM), the premier event for health services research, convenes a large and diverse group of stakeholders at the intersection of health, health care, and policy to share important findings and showcase the latest research on how the health system works, what it costs, and how to improve it.
