MHA Student Receives 2022 R. Murali Krishna, MD Community Service Award

Addison Davis, a current Master of Health Administration and Policy candidate, received the 2022 R. Murali Krishna, MD Community Service Award. This award is given annually to a senior health professional student who has exhibited passion and dedication to community service during his or her academic career.

Addison Davis is a senior healthcare administration student with a passion to enhance the health care process for underserved and uninsured patients. Her work as a medical assistant at Good Shepherd Clinic ignited this passion to serve her community. Since then, she has worked with the Office of Interdisciplinary Programs (IPE) for 1.5 years to help create a novel comprehensive clinical patient assessment and education model.

Currently, Addison is working with OU Health in the Strategic Planning and Clinical Innovation Office to unite academic medical center goals with actual implementation of services in the community. Her current project is collaborating with Oklahoma City Public Schools to bring health services and resources to the highest Emergency Department utilizers in identified zip codes.
