Nursing Home Dementia Care and Environmental Health GRA Position

Dr. Hongwan (Melody) Li, Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, is seeking a master's level GRA to work on a project investigating the associations between environmental factors and nursing home dementia care outcomes. This position will work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with faculty and students in the College of Nursing (HSC) and College of Architecture (Norman).

The GRA position will work with Dr. Li to:

  1. Conduct systematic review on nursing home dementia cares and associated environmental quality;
  2. Bring environmental quality instruments to local nursing homes for field sampling;
  3.  Analyze the data from field sampling and health survey.

The outcome can be thesis, conference presentation, and/or peer-reviewed paper. The requirement for the position is that the student has interests in nursing home dementia cares and environmental quality.

The position is 20 hours per week, one year GRA including salary and fringe benefits. The second year is dependent on funding resources and research outcomes.
