Associate Professor of Biostatistics and Epidemiology Elected as a Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI)

Sixia Chen, PhD, Associate Professor of Biostatistics, was recently elected as a member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). Elected members are well-established international scholars in statistics/biostatistics.  With this membership, Dr. Chen accomplished one of the most significant achievements in statistical/biostatistical careers at the international level and is the first and only member from our college and University to receive this award.

ISI Elected membership is open to individuals who are established in their careers and have made significant contributions to the statistical profession. Elected Membership involves an election conducted by the ISI Elections Committee (MEC). At least three recommendation letters from current elected members of ISI, a CV or resume, and other supporting documents are required for the application. Each year, only a small amount of applicants are selected as the elected members of ISI, many from other countries.
