Biostatistics Professor's Proposed Session Selected for 2023 Joint Statistical Meeting

Dr. Sixia Chen, Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, recently submitted a proposed session that was accepted by the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM). His proposed session is titled " Modern Techniques in Robust Estimation for Handling Outliers and Influential Units". The invited session proposal is highly competitive and only limited proposals are accepted each year.
The Joint Statistical Meeting (JSM) is a professional and academic conference for statisticians held annually every year since 1840. Known as "the largest gathering of statisticians held in North America", JSM has attracted over 5000 participants in recent years. 2023 JSM will be held from August 5–10 in Toronto, Canada.
