2025 Colloquium on Qualitative Health Sciences Research: Call for Abstracts & Registration Now Open!

The OU Hudson College of Public Health and the TSET Health Promotion Research Center invite students, faculty, public health professionals, and community members to the 2025 Colloquium on Qualitative Health Sciences Research on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the Edward N. Brandt, Jr. Auditorium (Room 150) at the Hudson College of Public Health.

This annual colloquium, hosted in collaboration with the OUHSC Qualitative Methods Community of Practice (QMCOP), provides a platform for qualitative health sciences researchers to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and strengthen OUHSC’s capacity for qualitative research excellence.

Keynote Speaker: Michael Duke, PhD
Dr. Duke, Director of Qualitative Research at the Benioff Homelessness & Housing Initiative at the University of California, San Francisco, will deliver the keynote address, bringing valuable insights into the power of qualitative methods in addressing public health challenges.

Call for Abstracts & Registration

Abstract submissions are now open for students, trainees, faculty, and professionals to present their completed studies or works in progress. Abstracts (200-word limit) will be considered for:
Oral presentations (hybrid format)
Poster presentations (in-person only)

🔹 Submission & Registration Deadline: March 21, 2025
🔹 Acceptance Notifications: April 7, 2025
🔹 Awards: Two $250 prizes will be awarded to the best student/trainee presentations (one for oral and one for poster).
🔹 Conference Proceedings: Accepted abstracts will be published on the OUHSC QMCOP website (qmcop.ouhsc.edu).
🔹 Lunch: A catered lunch (with vegan and vegetarian options) will be provided for in-person attendees.
