Two tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. This position requires a Ph.D.,
Dr.PH, DHA, or equivalent degree in health administration, health policy, population health, or a related area.
Preferred candidates for this position include:
• Those with expertise in health administration, health policy analysis, and implementation science
research;
• Those having the potential to develop a funded research program;
• Strong potential for publishing in top-tier journals;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collegially with faculty, staff, and
students; and
• Willingness to participate in cross-disciplinary research grants related to health management and policy.
The Department is seeking candidates within the fields of management, organizational theory, or
implementation science. Formal training in health services research desired. We are interested in candidates
with expertise specific to all areas of the health sector. We seek researchers with strong scholarly credentials
and a record or promise of external research funding. The faculty member will be expected to teach and advise
at the masters and doctorate level. Exceptional ABD candidates will be considered as well if completion of all
requirements for the doctoral degree will be completed prior to the beginning of fall 2022.
The Department of Health Administration and Policy, located in the Hudson College of Public Health (https://publichealth.ouhsc.edu/), offers the Master of Public Health (MPH) and the Master of Health Administration (MHA) degrees. In May 2018, College Magazine ranked the Hudson College of Public Health among the top 10 Colleges of Public Health in the nation (https://www.collegemagazine.com/top-10-colleges[1]for-public-health/ ). The OUHSC is one of only a few academic medical centers in the nation with seven health professions colleges in contiguous space (Public Health, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health, and Graduate College). Also on our campus, OU Health (https://www.ouhealth.com/), is the state’s only comprehensive academic health system of hospitals, clinics and centers of excellence. OU Health is home to Oklahoma’s largest physician network with a complete range of specialty care, has the state’s only freestanding children’s hospital, the National Cancer Institute-Designated Stephenson Cancer Center, the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, and Oklahoma’s flagship teaching hospital, which is the state’s only Level 1 trauma center.
