Ami Sedani received her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with a concentration of Biology & Society at Arizona State University and her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her PhD at the Hudson College of Public Health. She is a third-year doctoral student and Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology (BSE). Her research focus is chronic disease etiology and subsequently prevention/early detection, as well as utilizing GIS in epidemiologic studies. She served as past treasurer and President of the Epidemiology Research Student Association (e.g., epidemiology journal club) as well as peer reviewer for the Journal of Cancer Education.
