HUDSON COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH
DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD AND YOUNG ALUMNI PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Office of Alumni Affairs at the Hudson College of Public Health awards an annual Distinguished Alumni Award and Young Alumni Professional Achievement Award (under the age of 40) to outstanding alumni from each Department within the College. Recipients of these prestigious awards are recognized for achieving professional and personal successes, and demonstrating exemplary service to their community and/or the University.
Recipients of this award must be a graduate of the Hudson College of Public Health (any program/department), must have a demonstrated outstanding leadership related to their field, and must have achieved distinctive and notable accomplishments in at least one of the following:
Distinguished alumni are recognized for their accomplishments in their chosen profession. Criteria for measuring achievements include:
- Recognized leadership qualities
- Impact on the field
- Dedication to field (includes volunteering, educational outreach, etc.)
- Recognition within the field
- Length of professional service
- Contributions to public service
- Impact on social justice
- Degrees earned
- Publications, research, etc. within the field (if applicable)
Alumni whose voluntary leadership, dedication and contribution of time, effort and enthusiasm improve the quality of life in their neighborhood, community, city, state or nation. The accomplishments in community service are especially enduring in value because their work results from personal commitment rather than a desire for personal gain.
Alumni have a true devotion to the Hudson College of Public Health and a lasting love for the university, as demonstrated through a substantial contribution of time and resources.
