Professor of Biostatistics selected as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Statistics.

Daniel Zhao, Professor of Biostatistics and Associate Dean for Research at the Hudson College of Public Health was recently selected as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Statistics. Zhao serves as the Associate Director of Biostatistics and Research Design Shared Resource at the Stephenson Cancer Center. He is a current member of the NCI Gynecologic Cancers Steering Committee (GCSC) Cervical Cancer Task Force. Dr. Zhao has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over eight years before he returned to the academia.  His research interests include collaborative biomedical research as a biostatistical contributor as well as independent statistical research.  His statistical research areas include design and analysis of clinical trials, group sequential and adaptive designs, nonparametrics, longitudinal data analysis, Bayesian modeling, and statistical disclosure control. He has published over 120 publications in biomedical and statistical journals.  He is the current Associate Editor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Statistics and past Associated Editor for the Journal of Statistics in Biopharmaceutical Research.  Dr. Zhao is passionate in teaching and has received the Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching and Mentoring and the Dean’s Master Teacher Award.  Dr. Zhao also holds the President’s Associates Presidential Professorship.
