Donor Generosity Provides More Than $100,000 in Scholarships to Public Health Students

Hudson College of Public Health recently celebrated the impact of philanthropy at its 16th annual Scholarship Appreciation Ceremony, recognizing 40 public health students who received more than $100,000 in scholarship support.

More than 31 donor-created and donor-funded scholarships were awarded during the ceremony. Together, these awards reflect a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of public health professionals and helping students pursue their education with fewer financial barriers.

Each scholarship represents an investment in a student’s goals and in the future of public health. Scholarship support can give students greater freedom to focus on their coursework, research, field experiences and service to communities across Oklahoma and beyond.

The annual ceremony recognizes both the accomplishments of scholarship recipients and the generosity of the donors who make the awards possible. Many of the college’s scholarships were established by alumni, faculty, families and community partners who believe in the value of public health education and want to help students prepare for careers that improve health and quality of life.

Donor support reaches students across the college’s academic programs and areas of study. The 2026 recipients represent a range of interests and career goals, but they share a commitment to addressing complex health challenges through research, practice, leadership and community engagement.

The number of scholarships awarded during this year’s ceremony also demonstrates the lasting impact donors make when they establish or contribute to scholarship funds. Their generosity supports students today while strengthening the public health workforce for years to come.
