Faculty and students from the University of Oklahoma Hudson College of Public Health joined thousands of public health professionals and partners at the American Public Health Association’s 2026 Annual Meeting and Expo, held Nov. 1–4 in San Antonio.
This year’s theme, “Together We Thrive: Health Across the Lifespan,” emphasized the shared work of improving health at every stage of life. The meeting brought together about 11,000 attendees for scientific presentations, educational sessions and opportunities to connect with colleagues across the field.
Hudson College faculty and students contributed to those conversations in several ways. Students presented their research during poster sessions, sharing their findings with peers and public health leaders. At the Public Health Expo, the college’s booth introduced attendees to its academic programs and pathways, helping prospective students and colleagues learn about the range of ways to prepare for careers in public health.
Participation in APHA gives students the opportunity to discuss their work beyond the classroom and engage with ideas shaping the profession. It also helps the college strengthen connections with the broader public health community and showcase the research, education and expertise taking place at Hudson College of Public Health.
