"Healthcare Inequities When We Contribute to the Disparities"
Dr. Rahma Warsame is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Oncology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, and a consultant in the Division of Hematology. She has a special interest in plasma cell disorders, especially amyloidosis, and health services research. Dr. Warsame has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles on these topics, and received
several awards and grants, including the Dean's Basic Science Award, the American Society of Clinical Oncology Merit Award, the Kern Scholar Center for Science and Healthcare Delivery. She is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows, and serves as the associate program director of the internal medicine residency program and the department diversity leader of the hematology department and the bone marrow transplant clinic.
