The OU Hudson College of Public Health’s Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology will host a virtual open house Wednesday, Oct. 21, for prospective students interested in using data and research to improve health.

The event will introduce attendees to the department’s Master of Public Health and Master of Science programs. Department leaders and faculty researchers will discuss academic opportunities, faculty mentorship, hands-on research and the career paths available to graduates in public health, health care, research and industry.

Representatives from Student Services will explain the application process and answer questions, while members of the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Student Association will share their perspectives on student life and the experience of pursuing a graduate degree at the Hudson College.

Through collaborations with public health agencies, health care organizations and community partners, students in the department learn to apply data and research methods to real-world health challenges. Graduates are prepared for careers including biostatistician, epidemiologist, health data analyst, clinical data scientist, disease surveillance manager, clinical research coordinator and infection control professional.

The virtual open house will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026. Zoom information will be provided following registration.
