Professor of Epidemiology Receives Distinguished Award from Oklahoma State Medical Association

Dr. Aaron Wendelboe, Professor of Epidemiology and Edward E. and Helen T. Bartlett Chair in Public Health, was named as the Oklahoma State Medical Association's Physicians' Campaign for a Healthier Oklahoma, 2021 Prevention in Practice Award recipient! The award recognizes exemplary physicians, individuals, or organizations for putting “Prevention into Practice”. This award was presented to Dr. Wendelboe for showing proactive leadership and responsibility working with his community and colleagues on healthier choices and the betterment of improving the health of Oklahomans. He will officially be presented with the award at the 115th OSMA Presidential Inauguration Dinner and Awards Ceremony this August.
Dr. Wendelboe credits the excellent leadership from Dean Gary Raskob, Dr. Laura Beebe, and the countless others who supported him during the COVID-19 response!
