The Hudson College of Public Health proudly celebrates Dr. Ganisher Davlyatov, who was honored with the Regents' Award for Superior Teaching during the HSC Faculty Awards on April 24. This award is one of the most distinguished recognitions within the University of Oklahoma system, spotlighting exceptional contributions in the areas of teaching, research, and service.
Established in 1963, the Regents' Award for Superior Teaching has evolved over the decades to recognize faculty who consistently demonstrate excellence in instruction and academic mentorship. The majority of the awards continue to emphasize teaching, underscoring the vital role educators play in shaping student success and academic culture.
Dr. Davlyatov exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding educator. A natural teacher and mentor, he has become an invaluable resource for both students and junior faculty across the College. His commitment to academic excellence and mentorship has elevated the entire Health Administration and Policy Department. Under his leadership, the department attracted three accomplished faculty members, fostering the development of a Health Outcomes Research Center with promising funding potential.
In 2023, Dr. Davlyatov guided the department through a near-perfect re-accreditation process, earning commendations from his peers. Yet, it is the resounding praise from his students that truly sets him apart. Dr. Davlyatov consistently ranks among the highest in student engagement, learning outcomes, and expert teaching—an achievement that speaks volumes about his impact in the classroom and beyond.
The Regents' Award is a fitting recognition of Dr. Davlyatov’s tireless dedication, inspirational leadership, and transformative teaching. His work continues to shape the next generation of public health leaders, and the Hudson College of Public Health is honored to count him among its faculty.
