Janis E. Campbell, PhD, MSc, GISP is a Professor of Epidemiology. She has nearly 30 years of experience conducting research and evaluation with health prevention and control programs, cancer health disparities, and working with American Indian tribes. She has a record of CDC, NIH, and state-funded research. Dr. Campbell regularly teaches graduate courses in GIS (Geographic Information System) in Health, Principles of Epidemiology, and Problems in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. To date, she has been fortunate enough to work with over 75 motivated students. Of these, 22 have been successful doctoral students that have published their research findings and been invited to present their findings at national and international meetings. In total, students have produced 36 peer reviewed articles, 46 national presentations, and seven international presentations. Dr. Campbell has collaborated on over 30 successful grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts.
