The Hudson College of Public Health is excited to announce an open position for the role of Associate/Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a passion for leadership and innovation to steer the department into new frontiers at the intersection of human health and the environment. 

Whether a seasoned scholar, newly-established researcher, or multidisciplinary environmental health practitioner, this position will have the freedom and support to expand the Department’s research portfolio and teaching mission. The ideal candidate meets the required qualifications as an Associate or Full Professor, has a documented track record of innovation, and will strategically lead the Department with greater emphasis on emerging issues at the intersection of health and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Administration:

  • Provide visionary leadership with a focus on innovative and disruptive change.
  • Oversee departmental operations, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Foster a collaborative culture for cutting-edge research and education.

Academic Program Oversight:

  • Lead the development of new study tracts.
  • Enhance academic programs with online offerings and innovative teaching methods.
  • Ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards.

Faculty Management:

  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive work environment encouraging innovation.

Research and Scholarship:

  • Promote groundbreaking research projects.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Collaborate with other departments and institutions.

Student Engagement:

  • Enhance student recruitment efforts.
  • Foster a student-centered approach using cutting-edge technologies.

Community Engagement and Service:

  • Build partnerships with organizations and stakeholders.
  • Represent the department in professional organizations and conferences.
  • Contribute to community outreach addressing public health challenges.

Additional Information:
